Pac-Man, Rock’n'Roll and Virus get a Lite version

Pac-Man, Virus, Rock'n'Roll, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPhone 3GThis morning there were a few new Lite versions of iPhone and iPod Touch games available in the App Store. First of all there’s Virus Lite, a free demo that lets you play with white blood cells that need to fill up your screen while avoiding viruses. For those who don’t like playing with blood there’s a Pac-Man Lite version that allows you to try out the first level of this classic. Rock’n'Roll Lite gives you a free chance to try out three levels of the full game. We recently reviewed Rock’n'Roll and gave it a four out of five.

Rock’n'Roll now available in App Store

Since today you can get Rock’n'Roll for $4.99 in the App Store. This action puzzler developed by TAG Games uses the touch functionalities and the accelerometer of the iPhone and iPod Touch. You play as ‘Roll’, a rounded character who’s job is to enter the spinning mazes of the Flint Island to recover the Evil Sky Spirits musical notes and save his best friend. The game contains two modes, quest and race against the clock, and features 30 levels in three different environments.

Rock’n'Roll rocks out in cool video

Tag Games has just released a first video of its new puzzle/action game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Rock’n'Roll looks a lot like an extremely colorful version of LocoRoco for Sony’s PlayStation Portable. You simply tilt the iPhone to guide your character through the maze. The story behind Rock’n’Roll is a familiar concoction of friendship, music, kidnapping and blown fuses! You play as ‘Roll’, a rather well rounded character, who must enter the spinning mazes of Flint Island in an effort to recover the Evil Sky Spirits musical notes and save his best friend ‘Roll’ from imprisonment. Check out this posts for Rock’n'Roll screenshots!

TAG Games, Astro Ranch, iPhone 3G, iPhone, Rock\'n\'RollToday TAG Games confirmed the development of Astro Ranch to PocketGamer. Astro Ranch looks a bit like Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, but opposed to those two games Astro Ranch is set somewhere in the 50′s in a sci-fi world with motion- and touch-controls with some cool connectivity features. Sindy Starlight is your name and you’re an intrepid space explorer who starts an own ranch while exploring the planet and becoming friends with the locals.

You’ll have to build up your own ranch, pan for gold by shaking the iPhone, compete in various contests, build fences and throw lasso’s to runaway animals by giving the screen a tap. The game will have an original soundtrack and a user-controlled camera. The best feature is the possibility to trade items and send messages and gifts to other gamers who have Astro Ranch.

TAG Games also announced the production of Rock’n'Roll for the iPhone, it’s due to come out before Astro Ranch which is set for release somewhere in March 2009. After the iPhone launch Astro Ranch will also be released for the Nintendo DS and Nokia N-Gage. More screenshots of Astro Ranch after the break. Read the rest of this entry »
