Today Astraware released Platypus, a side-scrolling shooter for the iPhone and iPod Touch, in the iTunes App Store. The game is based on the cult Mac classic developed by Idigicon. The feel of the game is still the same like in the old days, but this iPhone-game offers new gameplay options thanks to the touch-screen controls and the accelerometer. Playtpus costs $4.99 in the App Store.

Astraware, the developer of games such as Golden Skull and GTS World Racing, has released a sneak preview video of its upcoming iPhone and iPod Touch game called Platypus. It’s based on the popular side-classic scrolling arcade shooter that came out for PC and Mac. This gameplay video shows us some superfast accelerometer gameplay.
