Pac-Man, Rock’n’Roll and Virus get a Lite version

First of all there’s Virus Lite, a free demo that lets you play with white blood cells that need to fill up your screen while avoiding viruses. For those who don’t like playing with blood there’s a Pac-Man Lite version that allows you to try out the first level of this classic. Rock’n’Roll Lite gives you a free chance to try out three levels of the full game. We recently reviewed Rock’n’Roll and gave it a four out of five.


Topple and MazeFinger now out for iPhone

iPhone, iPod Touch, iPhone 3G, Topple, MazeFinger, NgmocoNgmoco has released two of its new games for the iPhone and iPod Touch in the App Store. First title is Topple, available for just $0.99. In this game you need to stack weird shapes using the multi-touch controls to slide and rotate them into the position you want them to be. The second title is MazeFinger, a free maze puzzle game with more than a thousand unique mazes that you navigate by using your finger on the screen of your iPod Touch or iPhone. Every maze has hidden traps and other things that might get in your way. By playing through the 200 levels you can unlock new achievements.

Amongst them are the popular (and rather good) Dizzy Bee and Labyrinth, the slightly less impressive Spinner and the ridiculously impossible Balloonacy. Even at this early stage in iPhone gaming any new title joining this crowded genre is going to have to be rather special to make an impact. South Park Imaginationland lost 7 bucks

South Park Imaginationland, a physics puzzler developed by RealNetworks, is now on sale for just $2.99. The game launched in July for $9.99 and got some nice response. You play the role of Butters who’s launched into the air and each time he bounces against a wall or the ground he gains imagination powder. With this powder, you can propel yourself into the air with a simple swipe of your finger. The goal of each level is to pick up a number of Rainbows and land on the goal.


Playing with shapes in Spin

Not only is Zen Bound, a surreal puzzle game, in the makings with the guys from Secret Exit, Spin is also a new title by this enthousiastic group of iPhone developers. In Spin you need to recognise different shapes. With over a hundred different 3D objects, multi-touch controls and tons of unlockable trophies this will be another one of those very entertaining titles for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Spin is actually a port of the mobile game SiL, a title that won the GDC 2007 and the 2006 Forum Nokia Pro awards.


Rock’n’Roll now available in App Store

Since today you can get Rock’n’Roll for $4.99 in the App Store. This action puzzler developed by TAG Games uses the touch functionalities and the accelerometer of the iPhone and iPod Touch. You play as ‘Roll’, a rounded character who’s job is to enter the spinning mazes of the Flint Island to recover the Evil Sky Spirits musical notes and save his best friend. The game contains two modes, quest and race against the clock, and features 30 levels in three different environments.
