DeepSpaceNewt, DSNewt, Apple, iPhone, DejaVuScott Harker from DejaVu just let us know that DeepSpaceNewt for the iPhone and iPod Touch has been dropped in price. This retro space-based strategy game cost $7.99 when it launched, but the developers have decided to lower the price to $4.99 which makes the game immediately a lot more interesting for us. With the feedback they received from the community they also made some nice improvements.


IQ Boost training your short-term memory

IQ Boost, iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch, tnxbaiIQ Boost, a brain training game developed by tnxbai, is now available in the App Store. It’s based on the Dual N-Back cognitive exercise, which is said to be the only exercise that improves your short-term memory and fluid intelligence. The game has adjustable difficulty levels and features a nice detailed reporting of your progress in the game. The game is 0,7 MB big and costs $5.99 in the App Store.


Scrable look-alike Wordtouch worth a try

Wordtouch, Scrabble, iPhone, Spindrift, Apple, App StoreEuropean gamers who can’t wait for Scrabble to come out for the iPhone should check out Wordtouch from Spindrift. It feels like a Scrabble game mixed with a puzzle-game. You get a few rows of letters each worth points and you have to make words from the top row only. Use a tile and the game replaces it by the one below it. Clear an entire column and you score extra, clear the whole board and you get even more points. It’s out in the App Store for £2.99.
