This new trailer shows us that the 3D graphics look great in-game as well. Hero of Sparta takes you back to Ancient Greece in this colossal action game.

MacRumors is reporting that Apple is giving the opportunity to developers to give out up to 50 promotional compies of their iPhone and iPod Touch apps. With these codes, recipients can download a full copy of the application for free. This feature is currently only available for the US iTunes Store. This will allow developers to distribute review copies of their new games to sites like iPwnGames more efficiently.
Tap Defense, the first definitive answer to the other paid TD apps, has recently hit the top 3 free apps. Tap Defense pits you against the beings of the underworld with only your trusty towers to defend the gates of heaven. In addition to money, which when unspent accrues interest at the end of every round, you also gain Halos at the end of specific rounds. They can be used to upgrade your interest rate on money or to buy new types of towers. It also offers 3 different maps to try, ranging from easy to hard.
If you’re looking for a full TD game without having to reach into your wallet make sure to give Tap Defense a try.
Update 12/11/08
Tap Defense was recently updated to ver. 1.1. This update fixed the bug used to get unlimited money (so stop e-mailing me about it. . . please) along with a couple of other balances. The only one I’ve noticed is that ice and water towers slow enemies down less than they used to (maxed ice towers now only slow by 70% opposed to 90%). If anyone else has any more info feel free to post it in your comment or e-mail me for it to be included here.
I’ve noticed the broken quake towers as well and have informed TapJoy of this problem on their Facebook page for Tap Defense. Hopefully an update will fix this soon.
Update 12/12/08
The quake tower has already been fixed in the 1.1.1 update.
Just a couple of weeks ago there was a rumor that Gameloft was working on Brothers in Arms: Hour of Heroes for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and soon after that we had the first details and footage of this stunning World War II title. The game contains 14 missions in 3 compaigns, namely Normandy, Ardennes and Tunisia. The game has great 3D graphics recreating the atmosphere of a real Hollywood WWII blockbuster. Players can drive 4×4 vehicule or a Sherman tank and use weapons like a sniper rifle, machine guns, a bazooka and many others. The accelerometer is being used to launch grenades, aiming at enemies needs to be done with via the touch-screen. Brothers in Arms: Hour of Heroes is now available in the App Store for $9.99.
Pangea Software, a very succesful iPhone gamedeveloper known from titles such as Engimo, has released Antimatter for $0.99 in the App Store. The game is only $0.99 until tomorrow, because then Pangea Software’s one-week promotion ends. Antimatter is the first game by Pangea Software that isn’t a port of a Mac-game. The studio calls the game hard to describe because of the unique concept of the title. Antimatter allows palyers to control a stream of antimatter particles in outter space via the touchscreen. Your goal is to use the particles to change the colors of the cosmic strings in the game.
