A lot of developers were complaining about the review policy of the App Store, and today Apple has finally made a big improvement. Since today you can only review an App when you’ve actually purchased it. It’s no longer possible to go to an App and just review it even though you haven’t used it. Developers were seeing negative reviews of people who hadn’t even played an App. TUAW has more info on the new review policy:
The frequent result is as you might expect: 100 reviews kvetching about price by people who never even purchased the application. That isn’t fair to developers, and it isn’t fair to potential buyers.
More and more developers are seeing the lack of really cool racegames for the iPhone, and that’s why publishers like Gameloft come with awesome racers like Asphalt 4 Elite Racing and Cro-Mag Rally. Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D is still one of the coolest racers out there and has now been dropped in price from $9.99 to $5.99.
Moto Chaser developed by Freeverse
Developer Freeverse has dropped five of their games in price. Five games, five dollars each!

Well the cold weather thats starting to creep in is a definite indicator that Summer is fading fast, but as some of you are aware, there is no Rolando in the AppStore just yet. Its been an amazing adventure so far but it is taking us a little while longer to finish, so for those of you waiting please accept this latest screenshot with our apologies Rest assured we are working long days, full-time, to get Rolando finished and looking as good as possible, and really appreciate all of the kind words.
Jewel Quest II, one of the best match-three puzzle games in the App Store, has just been reduced in price. Until October 3rd you can pickup Jewel Quest II for only $1.99 in the App Store. So far the pricepoint of the game was the only reason for not buying this game, but now that it has been dropped in price it’s definitely worth spending your money on.
A week ago I picked up Galcon from the App Store. I wasn’t expecting too much, but from the videos I’ve seen at Galcom.com it looked moderately entertaining. Little did I know that I was downloading the greatest iPhone game ever to call appstore its home. Read the rest of this entry »
According to Mike Hickey, an analyst working for Janco Partners, Rockstar Games is working on Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the iPhone and iPod touch. The game is currently in development for the Nintendo DS and is expected to come out this fall.
“We expect GTA will likely be ported to Apple’s iPhone platform, leveraging the device’s touch screen technology and accelerometer. Apple’s determination to layer gaming applications into the device’s consumer value proposition and growing installed base is likely sufficient motivation for a deal,” he said in his most recent report.
Today Atari has released the classic Missile Command for iPhone and iPod Touch. In this game you defend cities and your missile stations from being nuked.
