Firmware update 2.0.2 now available for iPhone and iPod Touch

iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch, firmware update, Apple has released a new firmware update for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Version 2.0.2 has a few bug fixes, but there aren’t any new features in the update. The other firmware update was released about two weeks ago, a release date for the new firmware update isn’t available.

Fun with pins in iVoodoo for iPhone

iVoodoo, iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch, oeFunVoodoo is a common theme for a scary movie, but now this Haitian spirtual weird thing is also coming to the iPhone in iVoodoo from developer oeFun. The scary thing is that you can pin a photo library picture of someone’s head on the doll. You can also use some magic on it and use special needles with positive and negative power, wealth, success, spirituality and love. iVoodoo sure gives a new meaning to the expression ‘killing some time’. This application is now available in the App Store for $2.99.

Interview with Sarah Thomson from IUGO

The game has been getting great reviews, and some people even say that Toy Bot is cuter than Wall-E! Updates for Cro-Mag Rally and Cube Runner

Cube Runner, Cro-Mag Rally, iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod TouchFingerGaming took a look at what iPhone and iPod Touch games received an update over the weekend. It looks like Cro-Mag Rally, available for $5.99, now features a better steering sensitivity along with some other small changements. Cube Runner, a free game, got some bug fixes as well along with improved calibration, level validation and a new developer mode.

Need for Speed: Undercover speeds to the iPhone

EA, Electronic Arts, iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch, Need for Speed: UndercoverElectronic Arts has announced that Need for Speed: Undercover, the twelfth game in the Need For Speed series, will also be released on the iPhone. Today they also announced that Mission Impossible III actress Margaret Quigley will be the game’s main character. EA is reintroducing cops in the game and has added in a ton of new features. A release date and more information about the iPhone-version of the game haven’t been released yet.

First video of 3D arcaderacer Clusterball 2

Today Resolution Interactive has released a video of Clusterball 2, their first game for Apple’s iPhone 3G. In this 3D arcaderacer you control your vehicule by tilting the iPhone, but the game has more than just some cool controls. Your goal is to collect as many colored balls as possible, but the problem is that these collected colored balls hang on your tail and make it harder to steer. The game also features online connectivity with high-score tables and online challenges. The game should give an ultra adrenaline boost to both young and older gamers. Resolution Interactive will be showing Clusterball 2 at the Leipzig Games Convention.

GotApps allows you to create email alerts for certain keywords and categories, so you can simply create an alert for the games category and get an alert whenever a new game is out.

Chimps Ahoy! gets a Lite version in the App Store

The demo is now available and gives you seven levels that should convince you to buy the full game, which costs $4.99. The full version of this game with plenty of chimps, treasures, bouncing coconuts and power-ups has 100 levels and has an average of four out of five. You can download Chimps Ahoy! Lite here.

New patch should make Super Monkey Ball easier

Super Monkey Ball, iPhone, SEGA, iPhone 3G, iPod TouchSuper Monkey Ball from SEGA is one of the best iPhone games out there, but it’s pretty hard for people who aren’t familiar with the Super Monkey Ball series. The game has already sold over 300,000 copies and will now get an update that will make the game a little easier reports MTV Multiplayer. After running this update you should have more grip on the controls and you should be able to tweak the ‘dead zone’. The dead zone is the orientation at which you could hold the iPhone to stop moving. SEGA hasn’t confirmed this patch yet.
